What shall you choose this day?

by Evie on April 7, 2009

Every thing we do in life is a choice.

Every day is filled with choice.

We are faced with choices from the time we awaken (do I jump out of bed or stretch first?) to the time we go to bed … and even in our dreams choice colors our stories.

When we say *this person makes me SOOOOO mad (fill in a feeling)* what we are saying is *I have chosen to allow this person to make me mad*.  Why is that?  Hmmm {thinking here ;-) watch out … } … Feel the emotion – it is real … and then just relax, release, let go and KNOW you can CHOOSE to release the anger and move on in a positive direction.

Example:  I was having issue with negativity.  Every where I turned … negative, negative, negative … ACK!!!!  I don’t do negative very well … YAY!!! … and I choose not to deal it … oh I walk into masses of negative energy and people every now and then, but have learned I can *Shake it off*.  Literally.   I have also begun telling negative people (when they ask why I do the Chicken Dance every now and then) when they are being so … STOP IT !!!

My beloved brother and sister-in-law the first time I started blocking the negativity with them, they thought I’d *lost it* … they are beginning to catch on.  When I start weaving, bobbing and flapping my arms – I’m not doing the Chicken Dance – I am dispelling their negativity (economic issues so many are doing the rolee-polee (sp) with) of fear …

Fear – Do you choose to embrace fear to keep you safe?  Not me.  Fear (my truth) is like a magnet for the things one does NOT want.  Example … look over the last ten years.  Correlate the fear factor with the socio-economic realities … I wonder what that would look like?

Negativity is fear with a target … STOP IT!

I am to the point now if weaving, bobbing and arm flapping does not dispel the negativity – I will leave the space of negativity.  That is my choice.

It’s like a sinking luxury cruise ship.  The ship has every possible thing anyone could EVER want, and it is all for the people on the boat – but the boat is sinking.  There is a rescue boat one can go to – but it is a fishing vessel.  Does one stay in luxury and die, or go into *squalor* and survive?

Of two people choosing the fishing vessel, one does it with a Glad and Thankful heart – whereas the other goes into the fishing boat mourning their clothes, jewels, and other stuff … who is the one is open to the miracles around them?

Choose.
